Trailblazing progressive-bluegrass act Greensky Bluegrass will return to the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail, Colo. on Aug. 15, 2026 for the final night of a back-to-back run of shows at the intimate mountain venue.
Michigan’s own favorite sons return to Colorado following the release of their latest collection of work, their XXV anniversary album. Songs like “Windshield,” “Demons,” and “Past My Prime” played at legendary venues like The Foundry, The Dollar, and more.
With multiple Billboard Top Bluegrass song titles, Greensky Bluegrass incorporates the wealth of experience from their roots music careers with the live energy of Rock, Pop and Jazz performers. Members have been featured in Rolling Stone and NPR.

Kalamazoo’s favorite sons and Grammy-nominated, award-winning band Greensky Bluegrass will perform at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater on Saturday, August 15th, 2026. This show is the second of back-to-back nights at the Amphitheater, Vail’s premier outdoor music venue, where Greensky Bluegrass will delve into their repertoire of traditional bluegrass and jam band stylings and create an unforgettable musical experience for all in attendance. Doors at 5:45 PM and showtime at 7:00 PM.
The Amphitheater performance marks the second night of Greensky Bluegrass’ Summer 2026 Tour dates which includes shows in cities and venues across the country including Vail, Boise, Idaho on August 18th and many more, celebrating 25 years of Bluegrass Heritage.
Described as an influential progressive bluegrass band that brings a raw energy and a unique style of performing live to audiences across the country. Formed in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 2000, the band consists of five friends who bring a unique spin to traditional bluegrass by fusing a jam band style element into the acoustic driven genre. The OTS sessions capture the band from 2010 performing “Past My Prime,” “Windshield,” “Leap Year,” “No Idea” and “Demons.”
The band has been earning huge praise from press outlets such as Billboard, NPR and Rolling Stone for the past 25 years. 5 studio albums, 5 #1 Billboard Top Bluegrass Albums debuts.

The Amphitheater has a seating capacity of 2600 with 1260 seats under cover on the pavilion and 1300 on terraces of lawns. Seating is under cover or on the lawn - your choice. Refreshment stands are located in the Amphitheater serving food, snacks, full bar and bottles of wine. Parking is available at the Ford Lot, a 3 minute walk to the main entrance of the amphitheater. Additional parking will be provided by the Town of Vail based on time of arrival. Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater is easily accessible from I-70 at exit 176.
